Iain Finlay Macleod has had over fifteen plays performed professionally including The Pearlfisher, I was a Beautiful Day and Homers, all at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. I was a Beautiful Day was recently produced at the Finborough Theatre, London. Libretto includes St Kilda – the Opera which was performed at Edinburgh International Festival 2009. Iain was one of the writing team on the recent Gaelic Feature Film Seachd – The Innaccessible Pinnacle. This film was nominated for two Baftas, Best Screenplay and Best Film.  Iain has also written several plays for BBC Radio 4 and has three novels published in the Gaelic language. He was recently awarded the Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship and was Associate Playwright with the Scottish Playwrights’ Studio for two years. Iain lives in Lewis.
