Adrian is a former nightclub bouncer and a hairdresser turned writer and director of film and TV.  He has directed six short films and developed a career as a writer of film and television drama.  His credits include ITV’s “Blue Dove” “Where The Heart Is”, BBC’s “The Eustace Brothers”, “Waking The Dead” and “Dennis And Gansher” Nine Network Australia/CBBC.

Adrian’s first feature film, “Night People” was winner of the BAFTA Scotland Audience Award and had its theatrical release in 2006/7 to critical acclaim.

He is one of the UK’s leading teachers and mentors, delivering workshops in creative writing techniques, scriptwriting and directing for a wide range of organizations in the UK and abroad including: BBC Academy London  – Advanced Script Editing; The Scottish Book Trust –  Mentoring; Scottish Screen – So You Want To Write For TV; BBC Blast; NSPCC – 125 Youth Participation Conference; and Yellowknife International Film Festival Canada .

His book Making It As A Screenwriter was hailed by leading industry professionals as the definitive career guide for screenwriters.
